Seramas make excellent pets. They are beautiful, curious, confident, friendly little birds that love to be handled and given attention.
Seramas are the smallest breed of chickens in the world. They make wonderful pets. Seramas are confident little birds that are easily handled and have their own little personalities. They naturally pose and walk with pride strutting their stuff. They are easy to care for and handle. They are much smaller in size approximately a pound. They are not as loud as a standard chicken so many prefer them for that reason. They are year round egg layers but keep in mind the more light they get the more often they will lay. So in the winter there will be fewer eggs unless you have faux lighting. It takes about 3 serama eggs to equal 1 standard sized egg. They are hardy little birds but do need to be protected from the colder temperatures.
